I'm sorry this is a very late post, I just never got round to doing it. I initially sat down at the computer with the intentions to do my french homework...of course that didn't go quite to plan, I switched instead to the uploading of a blog post as I have been very lazy and haven't uploaded in months-Jess has been doing all the work. I was going to share my recent trip to Australia but unfortunately I don't have access to any of the photo's right now so I thought I'd go back even further and do my Summer Roadtrip across America.
And so after that rather long intro here is America:
We started in New Mexico with the worst Mexican we have ever eaten.
It was all uphill from there.
We got the RV on the second day and our first stop was the supermarket, we may have over shopped..as we were packing it all in to the RV a guy passing us asked if we were preparing for an apocalypse.
First corner as we hit the road the fridge flies open and a carton of milk comes flying out and splits open on the floor. Back into the supermarket to start again.
First stop for the night was Monument Valley.
Next day we drove on to Arches, which in my opinion was the best of all National Parks.
World Jump
We stayed three nights at Arches and did Two walks (One the first evening and then a long one then next day) On the last day Dad, Jack, Ruby and I went rafting down the Colorado river.
Band Shot
Reading on the rocks and the stars at night.
We then hit the road to Bryce
An odd looking panorama.
Horse riding and admiring the views.
After Bryce we continued on to Zion. Although we didn't get to do it due to flash floods, there is a fantastic walk called the narrows that I want to do next time I go. We did, however, get to go tubing down the river instead
Zion National park- the Emerald Pools walk
Ruby and Rory panicking behind.
Tubing down the colorado river. Dad put the keys to the RV in his pockets and then preceded to tube down a river with them in a loose pocket. Hours later everyone's frantically searching for the keys before Dad remembers where he put them. Thank god they didn't fall out.
Most nights we would hear thunder and lightning and see rain falling from purple clouds far off in the distance. This was the one day where rain fell on us all day.
After Zion we were on our way to the Grand Canyon, which I would say was my least favourite of all the national parks. I think to experience the Grand Canyon properly you have to go down in to it which we didn't do, perhaps take a boat ride down the colorado and camp. We did instead do two rim trail walks and cycling. On our last day, Dad, Jack and I got up early to see the sunrise which I must say was pretty amazing.

We headed down the infamous Route 66 to our last campsite.
And then embarked on to Las vegas.
Las Vegas was insane, kind of scary. There were no clocks and no windows, some of the casinos had inside with fake ceilings that always made it look like dusk. You never had any idea what time it was. We had Paris across the street, Rome to the right and New York, New york to the left.
We stayed in the Bellagio.
After a day relaxing by the pools in The Bellagio we embarked on the last journey we would ever take in the RV. On to LA.
You can't see too much of the city due to the smog and a slightly blurred Hollywood sign.
We spent our last day on our beach and it was truly one of the best days of my life.
It was an incredible trip and I want to do many, many more road trips in my life just like it.
