2014

Recapping 2014... I'm honestly not sure what to say, so much has changed and yet I feel like things are the same as they always were. Nonetheless, it's been an amazing year, probably one of my best and so I shall proceed to sharing the most memorable events of 2014.

I like to believe that this song sums up the year pretty well.

  • Birthweek - Thanks to Francesca, Savannah and Victoria I (This is Jess) had extended week long birthday which included pretty amazing gifts like a rap (courtesy of Tyreek Edwards), a Buda and a collage of adventures which I'm typing in front of as it's placed on my wall :) At the end of this birth week, Victoria and I, who were born three days apart, were taken for a surprise meal at Wagamama(Katsu curry!!) with Da crew.
  • Desperation Day Sleepover, 13th-14th February - I you're
  • especially sharp you'll notice that this took place the day before valentines day and if you watch How I met your Mother you'll under stand the term desperation day. Now, we're not desperate, the sleepover just happened to take place on the 13th that's all. This is around the time in which the tradition of games night began, we played Articulate and sang accapella versions of Adele (when I say that I mean Alissa sang Adele and Francesca, Savannah and I backed her up)
  • Days at the Rec -  this was the period of time in which we'd go to the local playground everyday after school and despite us obviously being too old to go on the swings and stuff we managed to cause havoc by squeezing all of us onto one big swing and getting a few of the boys to push us. One time, on the round about, there were around ten of us just singing 'Hey Jude' at the top of our lungs as we span, I don't even know why.
  • Doctor Who Tuesdays - these were spent at Marlons, slumped on his pull out sofa or running about in the garden, climbing trees and trampolining. I miss Doctor Who Tuesdays.
  • 9th March - Savannah and I made a ton plans; the day began with smoothies and then a bike ride around the common before we went back to mine and a giant cookie whilst waiting for Lewis to arrive. Once Lewis had come, we went Iceskating, during which we made a human bobsled, before going back to the common and playing Capture the flag with Harry and Solomon.
  • History Trip, 11th March - We danced in Leister Square with some people with headphones.
  • When we saw Divergent dressed as different the factions
  • London Day out - Boris biking, Natural History Museum and boating on Hyde park
  • Those times which Savannah and I were incapable of finding each other in a train station
  • Rough Trade, 29th June - After Francesca, Savannah, Alissa and I made a trip to the East End Thrift store in search of our own pair of 'Traveling Pants' (In order to get this reference you will need to have watched 'The Sisterhood of the travelling pants'). After, we made a trip to Rough Trade and took some stereotypical girly friends hip photos
  • Emotional Dinner Day, 30th June - We had a nice day at this sports facility before returning back to mine, where Francesca, Savannah, Alissa and I dressed up as if we were going out for a dinner party and then had enchiladas at mine (They were fancy enchiladas).
  • Sounds Exciting - Just Sounds Exciting, I'm not going to go through the whole of Sounds Exciting, it's too long
  • Last Day of Year 9 - The Lido and Pizza Express
  • Greenwich - The first few days of summer Jess and I (Savannah speaking here) were very bored so I rang her up looking looking for an adventure. She was obviously up for it right away so we agreed to meet halfway with all the essentials and go somewhere interesting. We headed into the city, Waterloo, and walked across the tower bridge and around the tower of London. We then got a boat to Greenwich and walked around up to the observatory where we lay in the sun. Due to the cost of the boat we had no money to catch the tube home so we ended up catching two buses which took two hours(with a stop for frozen yoghurt on the south bank included).
  • Box Hill - We managed to get very lost but had a great day all the same.
  • Harry and My Birthday party - Everyone came around(to Harry's) for pizza and a movie and it turned out to be a rather nice night.
  • Days at Alfie's - He had joined our group by this point.
  • Wolf gang- We went to see a small indie/alternative band in a venue called Dingwalls. As we were the first to arrive we were right at the front and Jess managed to High Five the singer. It was an awesome concert.
  • Thanksgiving- After a lot of grumbling and moaning from some of the guys we managed to throw a "Thanksgiving" dinner at Francesca's. Everyone came and all in all it was a good night.
Happy New year! I wonder what we'll be able to write about next year...
